End of the Year 2013 Readathon #ReadingCram Sign-Up and Goals!

Dana Square and Juliababyjen's Reading Room came up with this amazing idea for an end of the year readathon and I couldn't be happier to join! It runs from December 9th to December 22nd and there are going to be a lot of really cool challenges!

So, as far  as goals go, I decided that I won't go into my Netgalley and Edelweiss pile all that much because looking at it is making me not want to read for some reason...so I'll read other books that I have been meaning to read! :)

Reading Goals:
  • Let It Snow by John Green, Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myracle: I have been saving this book to read it over the Christmas holidays so I can't wait to start!
  • The Dark Between by Sonia Gensler: I won this book on a Goodreads giveaway and I have been quite intrigued by it!
  • The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith: Also a book I won on a giveaway and that I think will be a cute holiday read!
  • Parasite by Mira Grant: The only book from my Netgalley pile. I have been dying to read it (even though I have it on my iPad since May...). It sounds quite different and intriguing! I'm quite excited about this one!
  • Wither by Lauren DeStefano: Well, technically I don't own this book yet. I bought it yesterday from AwesomeBooks and it could take a while to get here but I think I'll have it soon(ish). It's funny because it was on my wishlist but I wasn't going to buy it but then I read the blurb and I just had the have it! Besides, AwesomeBooks had an used copy for 2.97€!

Other goals:
  • Reviewing all the books that I read;
  • Read at least 50 pages everyday;
  • Participate in at least 5 challenges;
  • Visit other bloggers participating in the readathon!

Are you guys participating too? What books do you still need to cram before the year is over?

Tackle Your TBR Read-a-thon Challenge (+ GIVEAWAY!)

This read-a-thon is hosted by Tressa's Wishful Endings and Colorimetry. I am very happy to annouce that I am hosting a challenge! I think that it's no secret how much I love book covers so it's only right that my challenge is based on them. For this challenge I will give you six pictures. All of them have a part of a book cover and it is your job to guess which cover it is! All covers are from books that I have read and which had been on my TBR list for ages! Good luck! :D

If you need any hints just let me know and I will post some! :)

HINT #1: Picture #3 belongs to the PAPERBACK cover of a novel set in the 80's! :)
HINT #2: Still about Book #3! It's not really a hint but I switched the edition on my read list so it shows the cover I used for the challenge :)

Tackle Your TBR Read-a-thon Goals!

This read-a-thon is hosted by Tressa's Wishful Endings and Colorimetry. Like usual I am not going to set a huge goal for myself, so I don't get disappointed! I won't specify which books I am going to read since I like looking at them and pick them as I feel like it! :)

1) Finish a book every 2-3 days (it will probably be every 3 days...);
2) Finish some of my netgalley books;
3) Review all the books I manage to read;
4) Enter all the challenges (except my own...obviously haha);
5) Try to comment on at least half of the author guest posts;
6) Visit all the participants!

Are you participating too?

Netgalley Knockout Readathon 2013: July 1 - September 30

 Hosted by Goldilox and the Three Weres

I am really excited about joining this readathon (even though I'm a bit late) because I never did and I've been meaning to join one for quite some time! Besides, I have some e-galleys and review copies that I really need to finish!

Rules:
  • Netgalley Knockout will run from July 1 - September 30
  • You are not limited to ebooks from Netgalley! You can include any ebook you have received for review from Netgalley, Edelweiss, or from a publisher or author directly. It just must be an ebook and it must be a review book.
  • You can only count books that you read from July 1 to September 30. Nothing read before the challenge starts or after it ends will count toward the challenge!
  • You do not have to only include books released during the months July, August, or September - but you can include these, of course! Any electronic review book counts, whether it has already been released or is still yet to be released!
  • Again, even if the book has already been released, if you're reading a review ebook copy of it then it counts toward the challenge!

So far I have 8 ebooks that need to be reviewed. I think that for now (considering I'm a bit late) it's a good goal...I might try to read a little bit more though! :)
