Cover Wars #8: The Diviners (USA vs. Portugal)

Cover Wars is a feature where I'll show different covers for the same book and choose the one I like the most. I got this idea from Sammee at I Want To Read That, you should definitely check her cover wars! :)

So, last week's Top Ten Tuesday was about book covers and a lot of people were talking about re-designs that they loved and that they hated. Besides, I went to a shop and I saw the portuguese version of The Diviners which inspired me to do this post.

I am not even going to talk about the disaster that was the american cover re-design because I get sad whenever I look at the new cover. (So, let's just forget it was ever created!!)

I LOVE the original cover from the US! It's gorgeous and intriguing and the purple gives it a supernatural vibe! It's one of those books that I would buy without even reading the blurb (it's sort of how it ended up on my TBR pile to be honest...). Usually I'm a huge fan of the portuguese covers...but deffinitely not this one! I think they wen't with the lazy comercial way with this one...with the landscape and the woman's face (doesn't she look like a Barbie?) And it seems more like a crime novel...

What do you guys think? Which cover is your favourite?

Cover Wars #7

Hi everyone *waves*!

I haven't done a cover wars post in a really long time and I thought it was time to finally do one! This one is going to be a little different though! First of all I wanted to show you guys what books have been keeping me away from the blog...and here they are:

We have an atlas of human anatomy, a book about clinically oriented anatomy and medical physiology...as you can imagine they take up a lot of my time! So in honor of these bad boys, my cover wars will feature one of them! :3

Cover Wars is a feature where I'll show different covers for the same book and choose the one I like the most. I got this idea from Sammee at I Want To Read That, you should definitely check her cover wars! :)

The one I have is the one on the right and it is also my favourite! I like that there are a lot of different coulours which makes it seem a little bit more interesting than the older version. What do you guys think? I know this is not YA but I wanted to give you a little glimpse of my life! :)

Cover Wars #6: Going Vintage (Hardback vs. Paperback)

Cover Wars is a feature where I'll show different covers for the same book and choose the one I like the most. I got this idea from Sammee at I Want To Read That, you should definitely check her cover wars! :)

Since I loved Going Vintage so much, it is going to be this week's choice!

I think that the one of the left shows the lightness and funny vibe of the book more...but I just love the one on the right! It is my absolute favourite. It's so pretty and it has a very vintage tone (probably because of the filter?). So my choice this week is the paperback one!

Which one do you like the most?

Cover Wars #5: Warm Bodies (US vs. Portugal)

Cover Wars is a feature where I'll show different covers for the same book and choose the one I like the most. I got this idea from Sammee at I Want To Read That, you should definitely check her cover wars! :)

I didn't realize it had been so long since my last cover war! So, to celebrate my return from the dead (figuratively speaking!!) this week's war is going to be about Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion. :)

Warm Bodies (Warm Bodies, #1)Sangue Quente (Warm Bodies)
I know that the Portuguese cover is also used in America! I still like the first one way better! It's simpler and it would get my attention much faster than the Portuguese one.

What do you guys think? :)

Cover Wars #4: Thirteen Reasons Why (US vs. Portugal)

Cover Wars is a feature where I'll show different covers for the same book and choose the one I like the most. I got this idea from Sammee at I Want To Read That, you should definitely check her cover wars! :)

In honor of me finding a library that apparently has the kind of books that I want to read in the city where I study (Yay!!) this week's cover war is going to be about Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher. And why that book, do you ask? Well, I found the library's website and I randomly selected a book to search for on their catalog. That book happened to be Thirteen Reasons Why (and they also happened to have that book...there's only one copy though...)

I think that, in this case, I do like the US one best. Even though the Portuguese one has something more to do with the story, I think the US one is prettier and more mysterious! :)

What do you guys think? Which one do you like the best?

Cover Wars #3: The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight (US vs. UK vs. Portugal)

Cover Wars is a feature where I'll show different covers for the same book and choose the one I like the most. I got this idea from Sammee at I Want To Read That, you should definitely check her cover wars! :)

Next week it will be posted on Monday! Promise :3
This week we have: The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight

I don't think I can decide! I think that maybe the US cover is more related to the story rhan the others...but the others are so pretty too! And the font on the portuguese one reminds me of old movies for some reason!

What about you guys? What is your favourite?

Cover Wars #2: Anna and the French Kiss (Old vs. New vs. Portugal)

Cover Wars is a feature where I'll show different covers for the same book and choose the one I like the most. I got this idea from Sammee at I Want To Read That, you should definitely check her cover wars! :)

This week's cover war is going to be about Anna and the French Kiss!

I think the new cover is gorgeous and really appealing for some reason. I quite like the Portuguese cover (Maybe I'm a bit biased?)
So, I am not sure which one wins but I know that the one I like the least is the older cover.

What about you? Which one is your favourite?

Cover Wars #1: The Fault In Our Stars (Portugal vs. UK)

Cover Wars is a feature where I'll show different covers for the same book and choose the one I like the most. I got this idea from Sammee at I Want To Read That, you should definitely check her cover wars! :)

So, for my first Cover War we have The Fault In Our Stars!

Even though I love both covers I think I like the portuguese one more...it's just gorgeous. And I like how it portrays Amsterdam.

What do you think? Which one do you like the most?
